I’m so hungry I could eat a horse?
I would like to eat horse. I feel as though if I haven’t even tried it then I’m almost deliberately misleading people every time I use that tried and true saying.
I’d say I’m quite an honest person, apart from those times that I accidentaly make up an entire story before realising they aren’t true (and I do tend to admit it once I realise, except when it’s funnier not to). So as a suedo-sincere fellow maybe it’s time I did some fact checking…
Do I in fact like the taste of horse? This seems like a fair question, after all if I like horse eating large amounts of it wouldn’t be such a chore and with the right preservation techniques I could probably polish one of in a couple of weeks. If I don’t like horse however it becomes a whole other ball game. How much do I dislike horse, and therefore, how hungry would I have to be before I would consider eating it as a viable option?
Did you know that horse tastes like something between beef and venison? Well apparently it does, it also has similar nutritional value to steak. It is however, a leaner meat with a higher iron content. Beginning to sound even better, I wonder how feasable it would be to farm them for meat? I’m guessing not very considering no one does it…
I would like to eat horse, I want to know what it tastes like.
I would also like to know how much meat a butcher could get off an average sized horse. Just so I could understand how implausible the phrase is!
